Support Groups and Kidney Clubs
Kidney support groups are groups of people and carers living with all forms of kidney disease who meet regularly over coffee to connect socially and share their experiences in an emotionally supportive environment.
These groups are often organized through renal units or through active members of the community wanting to connect to like-minded people locally. Kidney Clubs are support groups that are endorsed and supported by Kidney Health Australia.
Some groups organize events, fundraisers and educational activities such as guest speakers discussing disease management, nutrition, treatment types and accessing information.
